Minor adjustments around mile 25, better now than later, way better than never. Sure hope that Brooks kilo advantage helped out.
My mom is awesome.
She makes me laugh for no reason until my stomach hurts.
She makes really good food that I apparently didn’t splurge enough on as a child.
Sometimes, a frustrating conversation with your mother is all you need. The type of conversation where the questions seem endless, repetitive, and time consuming. Most of you should know what I mean, if you don’t it could be that you either don’t talk with your mother, or you’re never paying attention to what she’s saying. Mother’s do that, they get you all worked up inside to the point of wanting to burry your head in your pillow, away from all the other stresses in life. Sometimes, that’s all it takes to help you realize how much your mother cares for you.

Shot on the last days of my Winter Break in the Bay, saved the last shots on this roll to do some sort of profile mug on my parents. Unfortunately they didn’t come out very crispy. But I guess the blur benefits the mess in the background.

I personally can’t say how they feel on my feet. Holding them, they definitely seem ec90 light. And they look good, which is probably a good thing.

Breakfast burritos and quesadilla. My favorite time of the day–brunch.
saucy.
REBEL.
Heading to school at 3pm, after waking up late and going for a swim, then chilling in the jacuzzi. Filling up proper with breakfast burritos and quesadilla. Munching on fruit and cookies for the rest of the day. Kick it on the bus back to school with half off frappuccinos from Starbucks. T holding it down with the vente java chip, and myself–despite not being an avid coffee drinker, went big with the new mocha cookie crumble. It’s good, not as good as I had envisioned though. I was kinda picturing some type of cookies n’ creme type drink. The crumble is a kind of nice touch though–when you do get a piece of it. Probably not the same crunch you’d get if you had chocolate chips in it though. Good times to get me through the week, for hump day Wednesday.
To all my Circus Animal cracker/cookie lovers out there. You know me well enough to know I hardly splurge on sweets, and it’s almost always last on my list when I’m at the grocery store. And more than enough, by that time my basket is purposefully almost full… Well, this one’s for you guys–Isaac, t. Plus it was only $2.

I try my best to never miss an opportunity to experience something new and different on campus.
Ron Paul
A group on campus collected signatures to show support for Ron Paul and earn a pit stop on his West Coast college tour. Would have liked to see a stronger UCSD presence, since it seemed like a majority of the onlookers were from different parts of town. Either way, it was an interesting experience. How often will this happen again?

At first glance, I have no idea where this photo was taken and what it was taken of. But looking at it in context of the pictures following it, it was likely taken at the Palo Alto Airport during winter break when my brother had decided to take me along with him on his Groupon Flying Lesson. I may have taken a photo or two inside the actual offices, eitherway… overexposed, too wide, too long.

I love forgetting about photos and rediscovering them with a fresh mind. Another one of my botched photos that I actually enjoy looking at. I wish had the photo vocabulary to describe all the details of this shot and print as well. The advancement on the left side that caused the beige fringe is neat. The flaring that’s coming out from my brother’s left hand is pretty cool. You can just barely begin to make out the top of the instructor’s cap on the right side of my brother, and how I was able to catch my brother’s right foot in-stride adds a lot to the photo in terms of movement. It’s cool that you can’t really see where or how long they’ve been walking for, and for my brother, he doesn’t exactly know where the instructor is leading him. It could be any of these planes. It’s kind of like that moment in life, when you’re following someone somewhere, and you’re walking next to them–you get to a crossing, and you’re unsure whether to walk the opposite way, or risk walking into them awkwardly.

Your typical college afternoon festival consisting of info booths, art pieces, free food samples, inflatable obstacle courses, and 4-wheeled toilet racing.
I wish I had stayed longer and didn’t have commitments that night, everyone seemed to be having a good time–then again, the festival is appropriately named so. Put on by our campus’ health and well-being center–the Zone, this festival promotes student wellness through a festive atmosphere on an all too common, empty evening campus.

I forgot my water bottle at home today, and it sucked. Water Fountains all day–stay hydrated.
It’s hard to recall how hard I bonked on Sunday’s ride. Basically my body wasn’t feeling it at the moment and decided to make my life miserable on the bike instead. The last mile back into campus consisted of rolling hills in my granny gear. Daily-Cycle has probably never seen me suffer this much before. I can only associate this experience with one other, which was being on the saddle during my first XC race at Sea Otter. I was thinking through how it’d feel to just fall off my bike mid-ride, after my body decides to shut down from a lack of sugar.
Luckily for us, we got to goodies, grabbed a seat and decided to search for food on campus.
This was my second breakfast, not that I really needed it… but I kinda needed it. Along with the container of yogurt and cereal I had before, I haven’t eaten this much food before noon in a long time. Great start to the end of the weekend. Eggs, Sausage, Toasted.
Enjoying the simple pleasure of walking around campus after a hectic end to midterms this week.

I had this Ice Hockey game as a kid! Unfortunately, it got old quickly. Hopefully, some other kid is enjoying it right now–instead of collecting dust in my living room. It deserves better days.
CFL light bulbs and fixtures. So boxy though, sure it can’t offer much effective lighting in that orientation.
